Open Modular Turrets 4.0.0 is in beta, for Minecraft 1.12.2 and, for the first time, for modern Minecraft:

  • 1.20.1 and 1.21.1: 4.0.0-beta.9 for Fabric 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, NeoForge 1.21.1 and Forge 1.20.1. Open Modular Passive Defense’s hardened blocks, walls, fences and the camouflage trap are part of the mod, and OMLib is not needed.
  • 1.12.2: 4.0.0-beta.1 of OMT, OMLib and OMPD (Forge). OMT and OMPD need OMLib 4.0.0-beta.1 or newer.

The highlights:

  • Generator: burns furnace fuel into energy for your turret bases, with Energy Multiplier Upgrades
  • Camouflage menu for turret bases and camouflage traps, with light sliders on tier 4 and 5 bases and the trap
  • Memory card that copies a base’s or trap’s targeting, trust list, disguise and light settings
  • Trusted players for camouflage traps
  • Reworked targeting and aiming: projectile turrets lead their targets and no longer shoot into their own base
  • Melee Turret with a model, and Slowing Turret as the new name of the Relativistic Turret
  • Turret API, so other mods can add their own turrets
  • On 1.20.1 and 1.21.1: Jade tooltips, turrets on Sable and Create contraptions, claiming blocks without an owner, and an Ownership Wand for mapmakers

4.0.0 also removes some things on 1.12.2: inventory and power expanders, the loot deleter addon and OMLib’s network cable disappear from your world, the expanders together with the items in them. Back up your world before you update.

Our floodlight mod Open Modular Lighting is in beta too: 1.0.0-beta.5 for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 (Fabric 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, NeoForge 1.21.1, Forge 1.20.1) and 1.0.0-beta.6 for 1.12.2 (Forge, with OMLib). It has electric, carbon and UV floodlights, fluorescent, cube and grow lights, lightproof glass, and floodlights you can disguise as other blocks. Its full changelog is here.
